What we love about coffee…
Hello happy campers. Your friendly neighborhood roaster here, taking a moment to let you know what I love about coffee. Of all the wonderful things I can conjure up about coffee ( and that list is long ) my favorite thing about coffee is the morning ritual I have shared with my amazing wife for many years now. We wake up extra early each day so we can brew a pot of coffee and sit down across from each other in our comfy chairs we scored at the Restore. That is our time to share with each other and talk and enjoy each other’s company before the busy day opens the door to all the wild things any given day can throw at us. I love that coffee is the thing that starts our day as we slowly begin to get our minds flowing. She’s particularly fond of the Black Butter, in case you were wondering. We worked to make our coffee time a concrete habit. Side note: I’m reading a fantastic book about habits right now called Atomic Habits by James Clear https://jamesclear.com/ if you are interested in forming new habits in your life. Furthermore, I would recommend that if you are lucky enough to have someone to share your life with, make it a habit to share that coffee time together if you can carve it out of your busy schedule. Take my word, it’s worth getting up early to have that time and then it will just become part of your daily life and that is a blessing.

The Rwanda will be roasted a bit darker than our other single origin coffees and it will offer a rich cocoa flavor with a unique red wine and beef taste.

Here comes 2022 sweetheart!
Happy New Year folks. 2022 is here and we are stoked to be in the lab blending our seasonal limited release coffees. We made the call to release the Sweetheart Blend a little early this year so check it out. Once again, its a blend of our favorite light roast coffees to produce a sweet cup with notes of cherry, stone fruit and a splash of cocoa in the finish. Its always a favorite in the shops so be sure to get a bag while its around.

Onward into Summer in Lenoir and Blowing Rock
So many wonderful things are happening in our shops in both Blowing Rock and Lenoir! The new 25 pound coffee roaster is up and going thanks to all you wonderful people and we are shipping coffee all over the good ol US of A. Our new Ethiopian DAKO is up and on the site and it is fantastic. We love those natural process coffees ( see our earlier blog called Hello Honey to find our more about processing)
New features have been added to our subscription offerings. We now offer 1, 2, or 3 bags of our most popular Blowing Rock Blend in our subscriptions. If you love having coffee delivered without having to hop online each time to order it, this is a great way to keep the coffee flowing.
Have you checked out or shop in Lenoir? Stop in and check out all the fresh smells at the Lenoir location right on Mulberry St. across from the hospital. We bake lots of great goodies and roast fresh daily! We will now be open 6 days a week until 3pm!
Whats coming soon in Blowing Rock? Donuts…mini donuts? Yes indeed we are using the space upstairs to feature our mini donuts. We should be rolling upstairs by June so stop in and grab a bad of minis with some new signature drinks that will only be available upstairs. Shaken cold brew drinks, nitro drinks and hand crafted lemonades will be all the rage this summer.
One last thing…We wanted to take a minute to say thank you to all yall who have been such big supporters during this wild ride. We love what we do and we are bless to be able to keep working and keep the coffee flowing. We look forward to serving you a cup of coffee each day … Cheers.
THE MAIL MUST GO THROUGH
Hello Campers, just wanted to give y’all a heads up on a situation we’ve been dealing with recently. The USPS has been having some issues in regards to delivery. We’ve been shipping coffee around the country for years now with little to no problem but recently we’ve seen an uptick in returns ( many times to people who we’ve shipped to for years) and we’ve noticed and heard back from our customers that our normal 3 to 4 day delivery time is looking more like 5 to 7 days. I’ve been in contact with our local USPS and it seems to be a common issue across the country at the moment.
Thank you for your patience and for all the support. We love roasting coffee for y’all and we will keep getting after it here at Camp HQ to bring you the freshest coffee possible.

What a crazy month it’s been, as of April 1st all of our locations closed temporarily and our team has been following governor coopers “stay at home” orders.
but… our online store remains open and ready for ya! We added a few things and we have more stuff landing soon. Last week we added our favorite brewing device, the Aeropress. It’s been a staple in our gear for years now and we are pleased to be selling it online. We have all of our favorite coffees available in 5 pound bags now! You can also get a subscription so you don’t even need to worry about ordering, we’ve got ya covered.
