We’ve been at it again y’all… hard at work to get coffee in your hand across the WNC. Our newest project is right in the heart of Boone. We are only weeks away from serving coffee to all our Boonie fans so stay tuned. Follow our progress on Instagram as well.
full throttle
Hello happy campers...its been a big week and we have roasted some really lovely coffees and even whipped up a few blends. We took a Sumatra into the darker side of the spectrum and so far folks are loving it. Cant wait to go to ATL for the annual SCAA event to see whats going on in the world of coffee.
Wilma is steady rolling now
Over the last week we got our lovely roaster (Wilma) up and running. We roasted our first few coffees and rallied the staff for an initial cupping and since then, we have began to dial in our roast skills and modulate the flavor profiles. Good Times! Stop by and check out the new digs.
March of 2016 - The San Franciscan SF-6 coffee roaster has landed in Blowing Rock. We are going to be roasting coffee right in the heart of the big BR. Stay tuned to see whats next. The lab will be a space for us to roast and test coffees but we will also be doing cupping and tastings for the public. Come see whats happening.
Wilma ( our roaster) is almost ready to roll
Just in case your wondering about the name Wilma, it was the name of my great granny Wilma Odom. She was the bees knees and I wanted to remember her as she was one of the first people to let me try coffee long ago.
The last few weeks have been crazy as we build towards firing up our new roaster for the first time. We have had a variety of speed bumps and such but the stage is now set. The good folks at Edmisten Heating and Air are about to tie up the last piece of the puzzle, the ventalation of our fire breathing coffee roaster. That means next week we will get the beans a cooking. Our first offerings will be some of the classics and my favorites as well. We will be featuring 2 African coffees, one from the Americas and an Indo.
